Another fact that we must take into account is that it  will help us avoid the gases that can be produced when food begins to ferment.

Precautions to take into account about mint

We must know that if we exceed the consumption of the mint infusion we can suffer some side effects, as well as that it is not recommended in certain situations. We will tell you about them below:

  • Gastritis: this is explained by its ability to stimulate the production of gastric acids.
  • Insomnia: if we drink mint infusion in high quantities.
  •  It is not recommended for children under 2 years of age, due to its menthol content.
  • Soft stools and nausea: due to excessive consumption.
  • It is not recommended during breastfeeding: since it can reduce the flow of milk.
  • Do not take during pregnancy: because it can cause a miscarriage.

Mint stands out as an excellent ally in weight loss diets. However, remember that to lose weight, it will always be easier to go to our doctor. If we have a varied, balanced diet and try to lead an active life, our efforts will be rewarded.
