Add two liters of water and 500 gr. of brown sugar, panela or cane honey.
Close it tightly and let it rest in a warm place for 48 hours.
After two days, strain it so that there are no deposits, and add another liter of water. Let it rest again for 12 hours.
After this time add three quarters of a liter of water and the drink will be ready.
Before serving, we recommend chilling it in the fridge, where you can keep it.
During the fermentation process, this drink initially generates probiotic microorganisms and if you leave it longer it will become an alcoholic drink and later vinegar.
You can give it some different flavor touches by adding orange or grapefruit peel, cinnamon sticks, or cloves to the container .
Final advice
It is important that pineapple is not treated with pesticides for two reasons. The first of them is that we would consume them directly and in the long run they could be harmful to our health. The second is that, since their purpose is precisely to eliminate microorganisms, they would also prevent the drink from fermenting correctly and generating beneficial microorganisms.
